Ferguson, Alfa L. Peacefully in hospital in Perth on Wednesday June 24th, 2009, Alfa (Sprogis) Ferguson at the age of 85 years. Alfa was born in Riga Latvia, November 2nd, 1923; her beloved husband David Ferguson predeceased her in 1998. Alfa is survived by sister Maiga Meimanis of Wisconsin. She was the loved and respected aunt of Sharon (Kirk) Lidbetter, Jack (Heather) Ferguson and Juris "George" Meimanis and special friend to Barbara and Richard Perry; she will be missed by many neighbours and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth Friday June 26th from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 10:30 A.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Interment, Pinehurst Cemetery, Playfairville. Those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to Pinehurst Cemetery or fund of one's choice.
