Dear Lesley and family: Joe and I are saddened to learn of your Dad's passing. We have wonderful memories of him and your Mum, many of them passed to us by you, which we embraced and enjoyed. Your Dad always welcomed us with open arms and a glad smile and a story or two that always warmed our hearts. His steadfast support and love of family was unparalleled and unconditional. In this case, I believe the old saying that "they threw away the mold when Bob was born", is true. One of a kind. (Who could forget the sight of his shirt lying on the footpath in the pouring rain, with a huge swath of soap suds rolling away to the pool??? with your Dad laughing the hardest at the idea that perhaps he had used too much detergent!!! Priceless!.) He garnered the respect and admiration of all that came within his sphere of influence, and never walked away from a commitment or a promise. Joe and I are proud to have known him and we will miss him greatly. May the gazillion memories you have bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart. With heartfelt sympathy, Lorraine and Joe.
