McCartney, Judith Helen In hospital, Smiths Falls on Friday, July 17, 2009 Judith Helen McCartney died at the age of 46, beloved daughter of Jeff and Jean McCartney. Sadly missed by her sister Andra, her brother Michael and his wife Liz, her nieces Sian and Barbara, nephews Daniel, Andrew and John and grand-niece Grace, Uncle Jim, New Jersey, Aunt Sheila in England and cousins and friends in England. Judith was the former publisher /owner of Horse and Country Magazine; she attained an MA in Public Policy shortly before her death and gave a loving home to many horses and donkeys over the years. From 2008 to 2009 Judith taught Equine Event Management at the University of Guelph - Kemptville Campus. "I am a fish, you are the moon. You cannot touch me but you can fill my ocean with light." (Rumi) Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the Reception Centre. In remembrance, contributions to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (L. A. W. S.) or a memorial fund of choice would be appreciated.
