Russell, Ronald A. WWII Veteran R.C.A.F. 433 Squadron, recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross Peacefully at Lanark Lodge, Perth on Saturday, August 1st, 2009 Ronald Albert Russell (long time teacher at York Street School, former principal of Osgoode Street School, Elmdale Public School and Broadview Intermediate School; retired Professor, University of Ottawa) in his 89th year. Predeceased in April 2007 by his beloved wife Jean E. (Cooper) Russell, in 1999 by son John and in 2000 by son Ted. Dearly loved father of Terry (Janice) of Munster Hamlet and Connie Russell of Thomasburg. Dear brother of Marian Andrews, Irwin (late Elsie), Charles (late Jean) and the late Stewart and Jim Russell and Elsie Fisk. He will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Pauline Russell, his nieces, nephews and family. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Wednesday, August 5th, 2009 from 12 noon until 1:30 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 2 P.M. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
