It is with sadness but also with many fond memories that I read John's obituary over the weekend in the Montreal Gazette.
I would like to share the following with you , his family -------
The first time that he visited our apartment in Westmount Square and as he was about to leave, John bent over and in his usual distinguished and discreet manner whispered close to my ear, "Jeanne, you missed your calling, you should have been an interior decorator" ! I have never forgotten those words.
In the years that followed I bumped into him numerous times on Greene Avenue and we would share memories and the latest news over a cup of coffee at Nick's.
