Missed and Remembered
Some people are an inspirational force in the lives of others. I've been blessed to know such a person in Ron Ferguson. A steadfast anchor of calm, compassionate care for others in the community, in his family, and abroad in the charitable work that he devoted his time to, I've looked up to Ron throughout my life, from the times he taught me about fishing on the docks of the family cottage as a child, to the times I talked with him at youth retreats as a teenager, and throughout the many years we were welcomed on rides around the big Rideau on his pontoon boat. I was so happy he and Nancy were able to make his way down to our wedding earlier this year despite the difficulty and the distance. Ron you will be missed and remembered.

<strong>Well, Ron and I have known each other for many, many years. Anyway, I was about 14, in the hospital with pneaumonia and Ron, same age, was down the hall after just having his tonsils out. Down the hall he came to visit me - with his tonsils in a jar (preserved though). Just last year, Ron informed me that he still had those tonsils. No, I didn't want to see them. Happy, fun memories.
