Arycz; Michael Peacefully at Fairview Manor, Almonte, on Thursday, October 1, 2009. Michael Arycz in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Wira Juzefa Paszula. Also survived by two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews in the Ukraine. Michael left home at age thirteen to work in a neighbours orchard and became a factory worker during the war. After immigrating to England he ventured to Canada where he worked for many years at Hershey Canada in Smiths Falls. He was quite proud of his gardening and wine making expertise and his love of animals, especially all cats and dogs, became a strong interest for him before becoming incapacitated by a stroke. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 11 A.M. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. In remembrance donations to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (L.A.W.S.) or the Building Maintenance Fund of St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls would be appreciated.
