Jean will be dearly missed by all of us, even though we are so far away and have not been able to spend the time with Jean in recent years, as we did in earlier years. She was a great gal, full of spirit, and somebody who always spoke her mind no matter what. I remember very well the hours we spent snow mobiling, swimming in the Rideau, or simply sharing cocktails on which ever deck was most convenient. On one particular warm July night, Brad and I were motor boating back from a night at Harry McLean’s, when suddenly it occurred to me to stop the motor so that we could gaze at the stars, take in the warm summer night, and discuss the inherent complexities of the opposite sex. Not realizing that Brad and I had stopped the motor boat directly in front our waterfront homes, and forgetting the fact that sound travels over water with perfect clarity, we of course started to exchange stories of how our wives (Jean and Barb) were always on our cases for one thing or another, all cases of which had absolutely no reasonable justification in our humble opinions. Thinking we were exchanging "wife stories" in complete confidence, turns out, everything we said was not only heard by both Jean and Barb back on land, but worse, they got on the phone to each other and plotted out a revenge strategy for the following day to get back at both Brad and myself. What happened will remain a secret, but what I can say for sure is that Jean enjoyed the following day's revenge to the fullest. It was great fun, even if she got the better of us!! Point being, in good times or bad, fun or serious, Jean was always there for people when they needed her, for what ever the reason. Her heart will remain gold. We will miss you Jean. Barb and Chuck.
