Although never having the honour of working with Dave, ( he had already retired upon my commencement of employment with the Town as Director of Parks & Recreation in 1979 )it became quite obvious to me very quickly, through conversations with elected and appointed officials, staff, facility users and the general public, that he had been a loyal, dedicated and well respected Municipal Public Servant, managing our Memorial Community Centre for many years. I always enjoyed, respected and heeded his candid opinions and advice received, when we would meet periodically, while running our respective errands in the community. On behalf of all Staff in our Community Services Department, we extend our sincere sympathy with respect to Dave's passing. Those who knew him, are richer persons for doing so, as Dave had that ability to affect you, in a very positive way.
