Michael, I will miss you buddy! 40 years we knew each other... We met at nine years of age in AFCENT Holland in 1969 and became fast friends for three years, part of the Canadian Military brat community. I searched you out and found you again in 1988 or thereabouts. We rekindled that friendship until the past couple years where we kind of slipped apart again. I wish I could have done more to be there for you. I'm sorry! Your pal, Dave Thompson

My deepest condolences to Mikes family. I also knew Mike from our days in the Netherlands from 1969 to 1972. I was fortunate enough to meet up with him again in 2005 at our Afcent reunion in Niagara Falls. Rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Mike's family - my heart is with you in this difficult time.
Mike was my best friend in the Netherlands, and although that was many many years ago - throughout my whole life I would periodically think of him - and that friendship. The impact he made on me when we were kids has stayed with me my whole life. Words cannot convey nor express -
I am deeply saddened by this and share in your grief.

Sherry, Victoria and Taylor,
Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss.
I knew Mike when our families were posted to AFCENT together in the early Seventies. We spent many hours together at school and as members of Husky Scout Troop. Trips together to London, Paris & Berlin resulted in a friendship that lasted a lifetime.
When we saw each other (after a 32-year absence) five years ago at the AFCENT reunion it was like we had never been apart. Yes, we were older, grayer and a little slower, but we were able to get back into our comfort zone with each other almost immediately. Some of my best childhood memories emanate from my time in AFCENT and Mike played a large role in that.
Please know that my thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

Dear Vick,
I'm so,so sorry for your loss! I always admired Mike greatly for the way he came into your life, and loved you like you were his own child, with no reservations or hesitation.Your dad always said if he couldn't be there to raise you himself,he couldn't have picked anybody any better to do the job than Mike. He was the finest of men and the world won't be the same without his smiling face.I know how much you loved him,and no words can express how awful I feel for you and Taylor.I do love you and miss you and always will. Please give my condolences to Taylor and your mom and the rest of Mike's family.
Love always,
Aunt Sue

Mike and I attended the AFCENT International School together at approximately the same time. For those of you who don't know, AFCENT was a small NATO base located in southern Holland and only those who served there can truly understand it's importance or how special it was (and we were). While I was six years older than Mike, we must've passed each other a hundred times in the school corridors. Mike, by default, you were my little Canadian AFCENT brother and you remain so today. I am so sorry to hear of your passing.
To the Bulley Family, please accept my heartful condolences.

I am deeply saddened by Mike's passing. Mike and I go back a long time. I first knew him at age nine when our families were living in the Netherlands. He was a lot of fun to be around in school, a practical joker, always smiling. That's my main memory of Mike. We went on a school ski trip to Austria in 1972 and I got to know him a lot better at that time. Our paths crossed again in 2004 when the AFCENT reunion organised by Dave Thompson happened - Mike and I had a good time chatting that evening and again the next day at Dave's place. A good guy, he will be fondly remembered and missed by everyone who knew him. Rest in peace, Mike.
