Dear Rathwell family, especially to you David, Donna and Judy ... deepest sympathy. It was only a few weeks ago that I had a long chat with Kenny ... him smiling and squatting on the side-walk just out front of the old house on Beckwith street. I marveled at how he was still as flexible as a teenager! His eyes sparkling telling tales, yet nothing mentioned of himself, of any troubles he might have had (It was only more recently we learned of his illness from family). There is a lot of good to know about Kenny. But for me, the thing we did together that I will remember the most, was our years teaching Sunday School at St James. Kenny loved the kids in our classes. And we would meet for a couple hours each Saturday night ...bringing our open bibles,and Sunday School lessons papers to a pub table at what is now the Golden Arrow. You'll not find a lot of Sunday School preparation done in a pub (lol)... but Kenny was about keeping it real. It was a time of fellowship and friendship for us - and a serious time too of understandings God's word ... God's love is very evident in Kenny's smile. Miss you Kenny ... till we meet again.
