Sloan, Robert In hospital, Smiths Falls on Sunday, November 8, 2009 Robert Stewart Sloan in his 81’st year. Beloved husband of Laurette Coates-Sloan and by first marriage the late Jacqueline (Cameron) Sloan. Loved father of Michael Sloan and Jeffrey Sloan both of Ottawa, Debra (André) Bard of Waterdown and Donald Sloan (Kathy Kiss) of Vars. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Candice and Philippe Bard and Jackson Sloan. Also survived by his step-children Laurie (Doug) Gauthier and Paul Coates (Dawn) and step-grandchildren Ashley and Kaitlyn Coates, Steven Kreest and Ainsley Lennox. Fondly remembered by his family and many good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 12 noon followed by memorial service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date.
