It is with a heavy heart that I write this to the family of Wanda. I have known Wanda for many years, having worked with her at St. Francis and the Smiths Falls Community Hospital as Wanda nursed there and, later on, at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital as we worked together in the HIS Department where she worked as Clinical Analyst. I got to know Wanda better in that role and we have shared lots of memories and good times with Les, Norma and later, as Wanda was preparing for retirement, with Dave. Wanda was a dedicated Nurse, Nursing Supervisor and Clinical Analyst, but she was also a proud Mom to the boys and their wives and a proud Grandma as well. For me, a great friend who accomplished much in her life and someone I will always call my friend. The memories I have from the HIS days ... sleigh rides with the group, many murder mysteries, Christmas parties and decorating our department every Christmas, Summer parties and so much more. Today I am sad but I am, also, forever grateful to have known Wanda and to call her Friend. So sorry for your loss. She will be missed by many.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Wanda's passing. We both joined the HIS department at the same time and shared many talks and happy times. She had a style all her own and will be greatly missed.

I am so unbelievably saddened to hear of Wanda’s passing - I worked with her for close to forty years as we both changed roles many, many times. Wanda rolled with the changes in her special way. My first memories are from the time I was a student and later as a new ICU nurse when she was supervising on evenings - so talented and so supportive. As the OBS nurse manager, she really excelled - so many tough days at work and so much fun at the many social events. Another big change when Wanda became the clinical analyst for the newly formed HIS department in 93-94. Despite a devastating loss of her dear husband Hubert, Wanda continued to work diligently while keeping the needs of her boys Brent and Darren as her number 1 priority. She was thrilled when Ana & Jackie joined the family, but nothing compared to her joy in welcoming her grandchildren- she kept us up to date on her family at all of our gatherings. So many memories of our times at the hospital, at gatherings at Ruth’s, Carolyn’s, my house and with the HIS team - my sincere condolences to Brent, Ana, Darren, Jackie, Rhys and Paige as well as to her siblings- Rest In Peace dear friend.
