Scholten, Dora After a life filled with many blessings, Dora (Eykelkamp) Scholten in her 89'th year, left us peacefully to join her beloved husband John on Saturday, December 5th, 2009, at the Smiths Falls Hospital. Loved mother of Francis (Dorelle Webster) of Hammond, ON, John (Fiona Kilpatrick) of Wetaskiwin, AB, Mary (George) Cunningham of Surrey, BC, Paul (Stephanie Ellenton) of Goderich, ON and Theresia (Hervé Le Pocher) of Delta, BC. Cherished grandmother of David (Tanya), Sarah (Mika), Beatrice, Ryan, Hillary, Ian, Robyn, Eryn, Reegin, Richard, Ben, Dan, Rachel, Jennifer, Liam and Elijah. Oldest of 11 sisters, predeceased by Annie Luchtenberg and Willemien Hilderink, lovingly missed by Marie Jansen, Bertha Smit, Gerda Eykelkamp, Truus Eykelkamp (Sr. Egidio), Riek Havekes, Nel Groniger, Lies Miessen and Agnes Gregoor. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Wednesday December 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Thursday, December 10th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. If you wish, donations may be given in remembrance to the Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice. Dora is now free to cook to her heart's content and tend to the beautiful heavenly gardens. May her vibrant, caring spirit continue to live in all of us.
