Stewart, Charles (Chuck) Russell Charles (Chuck) Russell Stewart, passed away in Perth, Ontario at the age of 81 years on Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 at home in his bed with his family by his side. Chuck overcame heart disease, cancer, and pulmonary fibrosis. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Nina. He was an outstanding father to Chuck and Mark (Kari), Poppa to Priya and Lincoln, brother-in-law to John (Sharron) Celestini and Irv Reilly. Born in Galt, Ontario, March 25th, 1937 to Margaret Schumacher and Charles Stewart. Step son to Reg Coughlin and step brother to Bea Pagnan (Nat). Chuck attained a B.A. Arts, B.A. Philosophy and Masters Correctional Counselling; he retired following a career dedicated to Provincial Corrections (probation/parole), Provincial Corrections Staff training and development, and Superintendent of the Perth Jail. His hobbies were many including photography, golf, tennis, skiing, cottaging, travel, woodworking and poker. He will be sadly missed by all his family and many very good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Sunday November 25th, 2018 from 12 Noon until 4:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Johns Church, Perth on Monday at 11:00 A.M. The interment will be in St. Johns Parish Cemetery. A reception will follow the funeral in Farrell Hall, Perth. In honour of Chuck’s life, those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to the Lanark County Cancer Society (Wheels of Hope Program) or the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation.
