A memory tattood in my brain. Pre 4-h class at Merrickville Fair. I was so small and short that the judge couldn’t see me behind all the heifers, so Sterling decided to pick me up. I cried,... a lot, despite my winning red ribbon. So it was only fitting that Sterling took me for ice cream at the fair to make up for it. 26 years later I still remember that day. Very kind hearted man.

Dear Mona, Lana, Shana and Families. My sincerest condolences on the loss of your Husband, Father, Brother and Uncle to my son Jake Burke. Whenever I would see Sterling at Reta and Russel's home he always greeted me with a kind smile and ask how my children were doing. I'll always cherish the time when my son Jake was about 3 years old sitting on his knee when Sterling smiled and popped out his upper plate and quickly put it back in with laughter. We both laughed so hard. He was quite the jokester. He would give me hay from the barn for my autumn decorations around the house. A kind soul. Thank you Sterling for the fond memories I will cherish forever. You will be truly missed. Rest In Peace

We had many fun evenings playing euchre. Sterling was always my partner and we usually won - he really hated to lose! Wonderful memories. He will be very, very missed. My condolences to his entire family and very large family of friends.

Brent phoned this a.m. to inform us of Sterlings'passing.We often heard Brent speak fondly of Sterling when talking about his work ethics etc.
His disease progression was difficult to observe I am sure.
Although the void left by his departure will never be filled trust in time you will be able to recall and share your many happy memories.
