Richard, Rejean J.
Passed away at his home in Lanark on Monday, January 21st, 2019.
Rejean Joseph Richard, the loving, adventurous, father of Joel Richard, and the beloved grandfather of Michelle and Marie Richard.
Rejean lived a fulfilling life and accomplished great things. Every project he set out on always was left with a touch of his quirky charm, Making something out of nothing, and always finding a use for everything he finds.
Rejean was always up to something, from starting a new project to planning a adventure that always included his family.
Rejean and Joel were inseparable. Rejean cherished every moment with his family so dearly, always taking the time to look back and reflect on it in stories he passed down to his grandchildren, From bringing his son on many adventures from one side of the country to the other, they built an unbreakable bond, and explored the world together. Rejean was a big influence in Lee Richard's life by being by his side and sharing his wisdom. In his son Joel's later years, they spent much of their work careers working together, from building pools, to masonry, to building the family home that Rejean loved so much. He was the glue that held the family together, from building a home they could all share together, to helping teach and raise his granddaughters. He was such a big role in their lives, from loving and caring for them, and helping them through their rough days. Rejean always found the time inbetween projects to take the girls on wild adventures, and they will always consider him a second father. Every chance he got he would spoil his family, always putting them first. He gave his family everything, something that will never be forgotten.
Not only was he the worlds best dad, but he was an amazing pool player. He loved to gather around with his closest friends and family and accomplish tricky and seemingly impossible moves, But nothing was impossible for Rejean! He loved pool so much, that his pool table was the most well kept thing in his house. His love for traditional native remedies brought out his true heritage. His fascination with Indians and cowboys, and watching old western movies will dance in our hearts forever.
Rejeans soul was so pure, and full of life, he was young at heart. His smile could warm the hearts of thousands, and bring you joy on gloomy days. His smile could tell many tales and the story of his wonderful adventures, his memory will live on in our stories that we pass down and share with family, Rejean’s spirit lives among us forever.
His passing has taught us to never take anyone for granted and to cherish every moment, every touch and every memory. His wisdom, stories and adventures will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We would not be who we are today without him. Untill we meet again.
Survived by Joel, Michelle, Marie and his 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
