Ireton, Edna Gertrude (Gardiner) Peacefully in hospital in Perth, on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010, Edna Gertrude (Gardiner) Ireton in her 93rd year. Edna was predeceased in 1983 by her loved husband Joe Ireton. She was the cherished mother of Helen (Don) White, Al (Sherrill) Ireton, Bob Ireton, Barbara (David) Scott, Beverly (Les) Latham, Dianne (Terry) Voldock and John (Tracy) Ireton. She was the much loved grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Iva Gardiner, all her relatives and many friends; she was predeceased by brothers Jack, Herb & Cliff Gardiner and sister Gladys Sample and her parents Mary Ellen (Dowdall) and Robert Gardiner. Edna was a dedicated member of the Drummond Centre Women's Institute and the Drummond Centre Literary Club. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth, on Thursday, February 11th, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 10:30 A.M. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In remembrance of Edna, contributions to St. Johns Anglican Church, Balderson, the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Lanark Lodge Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
