Stewart, Roger M. Peacefully in hospital in Perth on Saturday February 20th, 2010, Roger Stewart at the age of 89 years. Roger was the loved husband for 65 years of Florence (Burns) Stewart, cherished father of Wendy (Lloyd) Parker of Oakville and Cheryl (Harold) Watts of Halifax. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Tracey Parker, Tammie (Brett) Marler, Adam Watts, Matthew (Amanda) Watts and Taryn (Shane) Watts, seven great grandchildren, his brother Laurie (Olive) Stewart, all his family and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Addie (Stead) and Lorne Stewart and his son Colin Roger Stewart, Roger was a member for 62 years of the Stirling Masonic Lodge, #69, Leeds Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and long time member of the Canadian Amateur Radio Association "VE3QJ", retired after 43 years service to Transport Canada (Air). Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street, Perth on Tuesday February 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Interment, Hopetown Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Paul's United Church, Building Fund, Perth would be appreciated.
