Archambault, William Daniel (Bill) Life Member - Acacia Lodge #561, G.R.C. Peacefully in hospital at Perth, Ontario on Friday, February 26, 2010 in his 88th year. A native of Renfrew and former resident of Kars, Bill was a veteran of W.W. II (R.C.A.F.) and a retired Canadian Pacific Engineer. He had been blessed with a long and happy retirement and good health until very recently. Beloved husband for over 66 years of Phyllis (McElroy) Archambault of Perth. Loving father of Ann (Charles McGee) of Kars, David (Gerry) of Manotick and Kathy (Terry Briggs) of Perth. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, Janet McVeigh (Philip Trubey), Bob McVeigh (Kim), Jennifer White (Jay), Daniel Archambault, Leah Archambault (Chad Paulson) and Derek Briggs (Nona). Great grandfather of Alex, Jason, Ryan, Matthew, Anthony, Patrick, Nicholas and Aphra (born on Feb. 27th). Dear brother of Lolita Levesque (Lou) of Renfrew and predeceased by his brother Archie Archambeault and his wife Mary. Also survived by his sister-in-law Marian DeRemer of New Jersey and brother-in-law Kenneth McElroy of Ottawa as well as by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street West, Perth, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A ceremony in celebration of Bill's life will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 12 Harvey Street, Perth, at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 1st. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery with reception to follow at St. James Church. In remembrance, memorial donations to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital or to St. James Anglican Church will be gratefully acknowledged. Members of True Britons Lodge #14 GRC will hold a Masonic memorial service on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. All sister lodges, in particular Bills colleagues from Acacia Lodge, are most welcome to attend.
