Humphrey, Ruth (nee Lawford) Retired Director of Nursing - Rideau Regional Centre, Smiths Falls Passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband Howard in 2001. Devoted mother of Jim (Britta) and Kim (Blair) Gemmell all of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother Brooke (James Lagowski), and Elisabeth, and Graham, Carolyn, Owen and Laura. Loving sister of Lois Metcalfe and Bill (Robbie) Lawford. Ruth will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, April 2, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., followed by the Funeral Service in Westminster Presbyterian Church at 1 o'clock. Private interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.
