I was so sorry to read about the passing of Peter. I always enjoyed working with him on so many different projects over the years. He will be sadly missed by all of you as well as his many friends in the community I am sure. I will say a prayer for the dead today for him.

I remember cross-country ski racing against Peter back in the late 50's out at Vic Lemieux's ski camp at Christie Lake. He won the Lanark County championship, whilst I finished 3rd ( not bad for a kid age 13 or 14 at the time !). Funny the things one remembers!
My condolences to the family.

Susan, I was very saddened to hear about your father. I met him shortly after I moved into Perth and was living at 19 North Street and asked him what he remembered about the house. He was more than happy to share his memories with me. It was obvious that he loved history. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that my thoughts are with you and your family. Peter will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this sad time.
We remember Peter as being one of the first Perthites to welcome us to the Town of Perth as a family emigrating from the U.K. in 1984.
We met him on the steps of the Town Hall and he chatted to us about the town's buildings and history, he was a true ambassador for Perth.
He also introduced our son Tim to the Perth Citizens Band.
He was a founding member of the mens breakfast group at St James where we will miss his early morning humour and cheerfulness. We will both miss working with him while preparing the food at the church breakfast, and fellowship afterwards.

It is with great regret that we send our heartfelt condolences to all of Peter's friends and family. As relatively new residents of Perth we got to know and appreciate Peter's love of community and his knowledge of its history. It is in this realm, that we first made contact. More recently, as a new member of Probus I counted on Peter's opinion for many local issues. We are very saddened to lose such a precious new friend and appreciate the warmth of remarks from so many others who were lucky enough to know him longer. May he rest in peace.
Clive and Marlene

I was quite sad to learn of Peter's passing. Peter and I shared a lot of time as children during the second world war, school together, playing together, birthdays together, sleepovers, summer camp (Golden Lake) and so many other things and occasions, we eventually went our separate ways in our twenties, but Peter would often be on my mind. In recent times I and my youngest son visited Perth over several years, but sadly I could never find Peter "at home", saw many friends but sadly, missed Peter.
May the Peace of God be with you always.
