Makin, Lenora Dorothy June 23, 1914 - May 7, 2010 In her 96th year, at Stoneridge Manor in Carleton Place. Predeceased by her husband, Staff Sergeant Gordon Makin of the Toronto Police Service, and their eldest son, F/C Gordon Lawrence Makin, RCAF. Survived by their sons Tom (Julie) of Flesherton; John (Mary) of McDonalds Corners, and David (Judy) of Kanata. Loved and admired by her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren, of whom she was very proud. Always active and interesting, Lenora made many fast friends in life and set a wonderful example for us all to follow. The kind caring and attention of Dr. Drake and all the staff at Stoneridge Manor has been very appreciated by the family. "Go into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way”.
