believe in yourself
I first met Janet many years ago when my daughter Nichole was at St. Mary's. What a lady...we would stand and chat and you could feel the warmth wraped around as we chatted. Those that know me now sure would not of "heard me" back then. Janet was my self esteem builder, (as l like to refer to it). God, you would of thought l was the student, "Chrissy you have to stand behind your beliefs even if it upsets other, Chrissy if you don't do this for yourself no one else will." My grandmother was always saying this to me.
Well it finally sunk in (took awhile)and l took on some big challenges. Got fresher air in those portables classroom. That was my first stand up listen to me lesson. Janet left St. Mary's and well life moved on but when l would least expect it I would get that warm feeling and memories of our conversations in the hall. It's seems when l most needed someone or something those memories and well taught lessons were close to my heart. I lost track of Janet for a while till her niece Sammie happened to become a loved one in our family and of coarse we fell in love with Sammie's family. Sammie would keep me up to date about Janet and what all was going in the family. You sure never know what you might learn from others. Gosh Janet, if you could see me now l know what you would say, "See Chrissy what can happen when you stand up and believe in your self." Well Janet, I did it just like you said.
Well my friend you have left us for a better place l believe and have no doubt l will meet up with you one day.
