ALTHOUGH NO WORDS OF SYMPATHY CAN EASE THE LOSS YOU ALL BEAR,AS YOU SHARE THE STORIES AND THE MEMORIES OF HOW HE LIVED HIS LIFE, MAY YOU ALL KNOW THE DEEP SYMPATHY AND CONCERN THAT IS FELT FOR YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY. MAY YOUR LOSS BE EASED BY TIME,AND BY THOSE WHO SHARE YOUR SADNESS. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL EVEN THOUGH WE CAN'T BE AT YOUR SIDE TODAY.LOVE MOM (SCRIVER)

Mr. Tufts was a great grade 8 teacher, I was new to the school in grade 8 and he made me feel very welcome. My condolences go out to his family and friends, he will fly with the angels now and will never be forgotten. May he Rest in Peace.

I remember with fondness the time Harold and I would spend in the early mornings at Tim Horton's. We would usually solve the problems of the world before he headed back home or on to work. He was a warm and kind man who will be missed.
You are in my thoughts and prayers, (Rev.) Bryan Beveridge.

It has taken me sometime to write to Bev's family as it has taken me this long to really believe Bev has passed away. Barry and I both admired Bev so much. He was a mentor to both of us in our teaching careers and in how to always look at the positive and to laugh often and well. I can still hear his laughter and see his smile....Bev was unique. A master educator,a sincere and caring man. We are very sorry that he left way too soon.

Tufts Love
Mr. Tufts taught me grade eight at Chimo in 1983.
Mr. Tufts, thank you for your gritty teaching, honest laughter and a classroom full of memories. You will be missed. I still vividly remember you smashing yard sticks, throwing chalk with laser accuracy, and bellowing your gruff voice... but we always knew it was tough love. You didn't give up on ANYONE. Keep on smiling!

My grade eight teacher
Mr.Tufts taught me in grade 8 in 90/91 I believe. He was a great teacher. I remember celebrating his birthday since it was so close to mine. I remember hatching chicks in the class, that was fun. I remember him being the shortest of most of the students in our class. But he had a way to say hey remember I am the adult pay attention :) When I look at his smiling picture it takes me back to those silly and fun times. How we could get him to smile and laugh at us. But now looking back he was likely laughing and smiling over how our futures would be like. Well Mr. Tufts my own future has been crazy but fun and would not change it for the world. I have a wonderful husband and four beatiful boys. My last run in with Mr.Tufts was back in 2004. My oldest son had a birthday party to go to and it started after school. I had no idea how to get there. My son pointed out his friends bus and it turned out Mr. Tufts was the driver. I said "Thank god its you, Mr. Tufts" "I have no idea how to get to this boys house" He laughed at me like he did to the students in my class and said "Don't worry follow me and I will lead you there it's only a few stops o.k" I said "Thank you Mr.Tufts" and he lead the way. Once we got to the house he had the kids in the back seats of the bus to wave at me to let me know that was the house. Thanks again Mr.Tufts. You will always me remembered and thank you for believing in your students.
