Dear Peter, Cynthia, and all of the others of the family,
It was such a shock for me to learn of the death of Elizabeth. We have been friends since we visited Europe together with Miss McPherson in 1966. I have even met you at the cottage years ago. One time her father came to Toronto and took us to lunch at the King Edward hotel. We had last got together on her birthday a few years ago,but have always kept in touch through the years at Christmas. Please let me know about the memorial planned for Toronto because,I was so sorry to learn too late about the visiting in Perth.I also need an address to write to you properly.

What a wonderful healthy photo you chose. I am a member of Metropolitan United Church and when I became quite active in the church she was always chatty and friendly to me, usually not too welland always said hello and of course was interested in what was going on ( she knew more than me). Thank you for contacting the church who contacted me.

My husband George and I were deeply sorry to read earlier this summer of Elizabeth's passing and had hoped to attend the memorial service, which we have learned now will be on September 12 in Toronto. Unfortunately we have to be in Ottawa that weekend for a meeting and cannot attend the service at Metropolitan Church. We want to extend our sympathy to sister Cynthia and brother Peter as we cannot do so in person.
Back in the 1970s we lived for several years in Nassau when George was managing director of Trust Corporation of the Bahamas and were pleased to know Elizabeth and her parents when they lived at "Carefree" not far from us. Years before that George had had contacts with Eric Sabiston through his work with Montreal Trust Company and thought highly of him. The family came to our home on social occasions and we had another link through the church we attended in Nassau.
Business took us to Vancouver then back to live in Toronto where I often met Elizabeth at meetings of the Toronto South Presbyterial United Church Women. She was so active and made a fine contribution in leadership. It was sad to see the change in her after her terrible head injury, from which it was so difficult to recover.

I am so sorry to hear of Elizabeth's death. I knew her through Metropolitan United Church and had great respect for the cont4ribution she made there as well as in many other places. I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. My thoughts are with you all.

To Elizabeth's family. I send my deepest sympathy to you at this time. As I reflect on Elizabeth she was a lovely lady, committed to her church especially the UCW. We had many conversations about stewardship and UCW. She shared with me her health issues and I could relate to some of them but she was strong and a very caring person. I will remember her fondly even though I hadn't seen her in quite sometime.
My prayers are with you and it was indeed a pleasure knowing Elizabeth. May she rest in peace.
