I remember the wonderful years we spent together in Brockville Nursing school, Ottawa Civic Hospital and Toronto Lockwood Clinic and most of all our time as roommates on Rose Avenue. The firemen at the fire hall used to call us the Roses of Rose Avenue. Those were were times still fondly remembered now. We kept in touch for over 55 years. Hi My name is Jana and i had the privledge of looking after your mother at Rideaucrest Or should i say she looked after us! I have many wonderful memories of your mother but the ones I cherish the most are when i worked nights> I would go in her room to tuck her in and she would be sitting on the side of her bed move herself back against the pillow and say " Come have a seat. Whats new with you ?" She was like one of the girls. We would talk about everything under the sun. Her fun raising her kids advise for me raising mine. I just wanted to thank you for letting me look after such a wonderful inspiring woman. The lessons and talks we had I will cherish for ever . She always had a smile on her face and looked like a million bucks no matter what kind of pain she was in. She believed that a good bottle of hair colour,lip stick,face cream and a good magnified mirror should be in every womans life and it didn't hurt to have a few scarves! Anyway I just had to write you to say I will miss her greatly and she loved her family more than life its self. So tonight I will find my best wine glass and the best wine i can afford and raise a glass to a wonderful lady. Forever in my heart Jana
