Machan, Charles Peacefully in the Brockville Mental Health Centre on Monday, September 20th, 2010 Charles Machan at the age of 76 years. Charles was the loved husband to Jessie (Acheson) for almost 54 years. He was the cherished father to Stuart (Anne) Machan, Peter (Rob Stewart) Machan, Susan (Stephen) Lucas, Ruth (Tony) Vanderlaan, Michael Todd Machan, Treena Machan (James Peacock), Andrew (Kim) Machan, Amy (Yunior) De La Cruz and the much loved grandfather to Stephen, Justin & Aaron Machan, Max & Maggie Stewart & Alexander Machan, Samuel, Sean & Simon Lucas, Joshua, Jessica, Josie, Jed & Jannah Vanderlaan, Wendell & Cheyanne Peabody & Maclean & Caleb Machan. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Jack (Elsie) Machan, Dave (Thelma) Machan, Effie (Orville) Buchanan, Ora Paul, Keith (Peggy) Machan, Betty (Jim) Closs, brothers-in-law Lyall Churchill & Gordon Stiller. Charles was predeceased by his son Stephen in 1978, his parents James Stuart Machan and Ethel Jane White, his siblings Willard Machan, Marion Churchill, Agnes Stiller, James Andrew Machan, sister-in-law Evelyn Machan and brother-in-law Joe Paul. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St., West, Perth on Friday, September 24th, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Interment Hopetown Cemetery. In remembrance donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Hopetown United Church would be appreciated.
