DEar Judy, Mavis, Kelly and John...and Allen who I didn't know as well! I was extremely sad to hear about your mother especially after her battle with cancer. It was obviously a terrible shock to you all and that makes it even harder to cope with grief as well. Billie was a wonderful parent (and I am delighted that she could also be a grandparent too). She and your dad gave you the kind of effective ,loving support that all children should have and they allowed you the space to grow to be your own selves...not an easy balance! People will tell you that she will always be with you in your hearts and , from experience, I can reassure you that it is true and very comforting at all the times when you need her. In case you are wondering- I taught you at Maple Grove School in Grade 3 (Judy), Grade 3/4 with Mrs. Penny (John) and Mavis was in Miss Stairs class. Dear Allen, Judy, John, Mavis & Kelly, words can't say how sorry we are about the sudden loss of a wife, mother, grandmother and a great friend. I know many time she has spoken so highly of everyone that I thought that I would share a few of the with you..well Mavis, you were the dare-devil (enough said), Judy was the quiet but sort of silent one (but not really), Kelly was either going to get married or have another baby..guess we all know what that answer is..John was the brother that had to put up with all of them.(lucky you)..and Allen you were and are the love of her life. We know Billie was proud of her kids and grandkids..she always spoke highly of each and everyone. We will miss her and think of her! She was a lovely lady and we will truly miss her!
