Volk, Catherine "Katie" Peacefully in Lanark Lodge on Thursday, July 28, 2011, Catherine "Katie" Volk in her 91st year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Fred Volk, her son Ray, her daughter Sally and her parents Gotlieb and Regina Sander. Katie is the cherished mother of Tom (Cheryl) of Smiths Falls, Eileen Volk of Perth and Marilyn (Larry) Benedet of Smiths Falls. She was the dear sister to Dorothy Upton, Jean Sander, the late Joe Sander, the late Margaret Herle, the late Joan Deck and the late Phillip Sander. Loved grandmother of Sharla, Lisa, Tim, Matt, Amy, Brian, Joanne and Todd and great grandmother of Angelo, Sophia, Olivia, Asher and Mason. Katie was the much loved foster mother to 132 children from the CAS. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 from 9:30 A.M. until the service in the Chapel at 11:00 A.M. Interment, St. Francis de Sales Cemetery in Smiths Falls. In remembrance, contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
