Van der Laan, Hindrik "Henry" Passed away peacefully in hospital, Smiths Falls on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the age of 67. Loving father of Shirley (Wes) White and Patricia and Neeltje Van der Laan. Cherished grandfather of Briana and Nathan White and Corwin Van der Laan. Henry is survived by his sisters Ellie Hogeveen and Classiena (George) Atsma; and his dear friend Doris Quinn. Friends may pay their respects at the Young Funeral Home, Lanark on Thursday August 11th, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at Boyd's United Church, Boyd's Settlement on Friday at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Boyd's Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Boyd's United Church.
