He always gave Eric good gardening tips over the years. We could often see him still driving down the street watching the house going up on the vacant lot. They were both very special people.

Dear Lily, Pauline, Lois and family Please accept my deepest sympathy with the passing of your father. I have so many fond memories of your father and mother. Over the years I tried to stop in for visits to the house and both your parents always made me feel so welcome and they would bring me up to date on the family. Your dad always looked so comfortable in his apron and the kitchen after he retired, a role I was surprised he took to so easily. He would answer my rookie gardening questions, no matter how dumb they sounded and would make growing vegetables sound so easy and fun. As I plant my garden next spring I am sure he will be shaking his head at my poor excuse for a garden. I know he and your mom together are sitting with my dad, and the other members of the Sherbrooke Street gang, sharing stories, a drink and enjoying themselves and waiting for us to follow them someday.

Al was a very special man to me although I only knew him for just a little over 3 years he became a friend to me. I enjoyed our talks and laughs together and he would talk about his wonderful wife and loving family.
He was so proud of all his kids and especially his new great-grandson.
I will always remember his spunk and love for life and family.
I am sorry I did not get to Al"s services but I just found out about his passing
today. I will never forget him and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
