Robert Henry Barker, beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and loving husband to Beverly, passed away peacefully, with family at his side, on October 19th, 2009, at Foothills Medical Center in Calgary. Born December 21st, 1925, in Toronto, Bob was a proud veteran of WW II. He served with the RCAF as a tail gunner with the 425 and 405 squadrons. A selfless mentor, Bob's proudest achievement and life's work was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Beverly (Plant), and his children; Robert (Diana) of Burlington Ont. , William (Nora) of Calgary, Julie (Gary Newcombe) of Calgary , Thomas (Charmaine) of Aurora Ont. , and David (Jane) of Woodstock Ont. He is also survived by his brothers Arthur, Ed, John and Gord, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Bob will be held in Smiths Falls Ontario at the Blair and Son Funeral Home on October 26th at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
