Spinelli, Laurette (nee Chretien) Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the age of 97. She is predeceased by her late husband Amelius "Mac” Spinelli in 1974. Loving and devoted mother of Charlie (Stephanie) Spinelli, Denise Spinelli and Peter (Patricia)Spinelli. Cherished grandmother of Carolyn (Tim O’Gorman) Spinelli, Paul (Jeanette) Spinelli, Kate (Drew) Wilder, Joe Spinelli and Jess , Benjamin (Sarah) Errett, Joshua (Samantha) Errett, Jasmine Errett. Proud great-grandmother of Callahan and Carson O’Gorman , Mac and Sophia Spinelli, Cameron, Chantal, Amelia and Charles Spinelli, Helena and Theodore Errett, and Edie Errett. Also remembered by Preston and Haley Wilder. Laurette is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marguerite (Paquette) Chretien and siblings Beatrice, Ann, Rose, Theresa, Simone, Albert, Moise, Andre, and Jean-Charles. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and many extended family. Faith, family and friends were the focus of Laurette’s life. The family would like to acknowledge the care and kindness of staff and friends at Van Horne Manor and for the outstanding compassion and care of staff at the Smiths Falls Hospital. Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Saturday at 11 a.m. Private interment will take place at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis de Sales-Blessed Sacrament Church Building Fund or the Smiths Falls Hospital Foundation.
