Hi Steve (Beaver) A voice from the past - a long time ago actually, your Dad used to call me 'Rosaleen' I was married to Terry McLaughlan back then - so sorry to hear about Jack. Jack was all about life. I have been divorced from Terry for many years now but I can remember the times we had with him up at Calabogie. Skiing and sharing a place together so that we could all save some money and enjoy our winters. He had so many stories to tell everyone and no one delivers them better than Jack. I was talking to Ryan yesterday about Jack and we both shared some chuckles about the times we had with him. Ryan was right - Jack was all about living - he certainly will be remembered. Cheryl

Jack was an outstanding ski, golf, fishing buddy and true friend during my 10+ years in Ontario and I will always cherish the so many many happy memories and good times we shared together.

I'd known Jack for 20 years and used to run dogs with him and board dogs for him. My sympathies to Terry and the family. Jack will certainly be missed. Steven Harvey
Although I only had the pleasure of meeting Jack once, he certainly made a lasting impression. His voice and manner of speaking reminded me of a sports announcer and despite the fact that he was ill, he found ways of looking on the bright side of life. My sincere condolences to the family and his friends. Kerry Fitz-Hardy

Remembering my friend
With Jack's passing coming up on 1 year - Just a quick note to say that Jack's memories of the great times we shared at the Calabogie cottage, on the ski hill, sailing the Hobie's, beside the fishing stream, on the golf course and just hanging out in Perth ( of course - the fox stories complete with howling ) are still cherished here in Nova Scotia.
Rest in peace my good friend.
