Simard-Philippe, Marie Rose Passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the age of 66. Marie Rose was predeceased by her parents Edmond and Georgette (Gagné) Simard. Beloved wife and best friend of Gilbert H. Philippe. Loving and devoted mother of Josée Philippe (Luc Philippe) and Luc Philippe (James Perkins). Marie Rose is survived by her brothers and sisters; Paul (Louise) Simard, Gilles (Louise) Simard, Suzanne Simard, Gisèle (André) Sauvé, Diane Simard (Marc Gagné) and Pierrette (Don) Pratt. Marie Rose will be fondly remembered by her many extended family and close friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the Service in the Chapel at 3 o'clock. Private interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Heart Institute.
