Susan and family We have received word on Eric's passing and have to say we are quite saddened. We feel very privileged to have worked with Eric on many occassions here in Melfort and have many fond memories of our time together. We miss hearing his bag pipes in the church parking lot. Both yourself and Eric were certainly assets to our community and we often think of you. A VISIT FROM ERIC Not long ago Eric was in Medicine Hat to drive back to Smiths Falls a truck from his father. Friday morning he joined a group of men at St John's Presbyterian Church for the Men's Prayer Breakfast. It was wonderful to hear how excited and pleased he was with Smiths Falls and the great people who were gathering around him and Susan and to learn what the boys were doing.

Summer interlude We enjoyed our visits with Eric and Susan this summer. We particulary remmember one afternoon visit. It was just before Eric had been diagnosed with ALS. It was difficult for him to speak but our conversation took us to reminiscing about ministry in the West. It was then that Eric showed us a book of pictures of so many Presbyterian Churches in the West he had visited and taken pictures of. We were impressed by Eric's love and devotion for the church and the pastoral nature of his ministry. His enthusiasm encouraged us in our ministry. We will always cherish this memory.
