Joyce and family. Where to start? Jim was an amazing man who gave encouragement to so many of us. I always remember him saying when I was Civinette President and had to do my speech, "Just remember, there is no "I" in TEAM!" He was a loving, caring man and our hearts go out to you Joyce, because he was your "other half". May God grant all of you, the peace of knowing that Jim is no longer in pain and that he will be with you always. His memory and legacy lives on in his family and all the kind things he did. Lots of hugs your way. Tears help calm you too. God Bless.

To the Wiltsie family, our fondest memory of Jim is him being Santa at the mall. We would bring the triplets to see Santa every year. There first visit was when they were 8 weeks old. We have many many pictures of Santa and our girls. Jim always had a smile on his face whenever he saw the girls. He also stopped us for a quick talk whenever we had the girls out for a walk in their stroller. He was a kind man and will be missed by those who knew him. May he rest in peace. God Bless. The Ripley family.

Fondest Memories of My Dad
Fondest Memories of My Dad
There are too many that come to mind...for if I were to mention them all backsides would begin to ache and permanent impressions would appear upon the benches for which they rest.
With that in mind, I have narrowed it down, picking and choosing those closest to my heart.
My earliest memory of Dad that stands out is when I was around four. He was sprawled out on the couch, most likely due to him working the midnight shift at the police station. Mom was working and my siblings were in school. As I sat below him on the floor, I reached up and touched his hand, a smile developed as I realized I had my Dad all to myself. Yes, there were perks to being born last, and it was within these alone times that a special bond was formed.
My Dad was caring, loving and shined brightly in my eyes. He was always there when I needed him....took me to my t-ball and soccer games, always cheering me on. He came to my school for Patrols and soon everyone learned that this man in the Police Uniform was my dad. My Dad had reached superman status in my eyes.
When I was in high school, he continued his support of me... Arranging his plans so he could watch me wrestle or play soccer.
I could see in his eyes how proud he was of me, a reflection I have always had of him.
It was because of all the love and support over the years my Dad gave to me, I wanted to stay close to him. So I began my quest to purchase the house across the street from my Dad. After contacting Wayne Dier the owner of the house every year for ten years he finally agreed to sell. I have to thank my beautiful wife Julie for supporting the move to Lavinia Street. I can’t imagine too many wives wanting to live across the street from their in-laws but Julie knew how important this was to me.
Not only do I have a best friend in Julie, I had a best friend in my Dad!
I would like to thank the Smiths Falls Civitan for giving me the opportunity to volunteer along side my Dad, those special memories will be cherished forever by me.
Dad I know you are watching over all of us, especially Mom. You can rest easy knowing we are here for her, just like you were here for us!
Bryan
