Jack was a wonderful man. It was my honour to work for him (intermittently) for 13 years. He cared so much for the underprivileged - never turned away a client if he could not pay. He never wanted to stop working, and it is a blessing that he was able to carry on for so long.
Over the years he paid tribute to countless colleagues by giving retirement speeches and eulogies. Now it is your turn, Jack, to receive the tribute that you have earned. God speed. Rest in peace.

I always enjoyed talking with Jack either in court, at the rink or having dinner with him at the hunting camp near Westport. Jack was a fair lawyer and treated me and other police officers with respect. He was fun to play hockey against with the Smith Falls old guys. He will be missed by his Lawyer buddies. My visits with Jack were always entertaining.
My sympathy to his family. My he rest in peace.

My sincere sympathies to Bev and the family. Jack attended the Brockville Jail on many, many occasions over the years to assist clients. He always took time to stop at the office and chat with me about the client, hockey, baseball and most of all his family. He was always friendly to our Officers and was very well respected by everyone at the Jail. I called Jack several times over the years when someone really needed help. He always called me back and helped out others when they were in need, without anyone ever knowing about it. Our community has lost a very compassionate lawyer and a fine gentleman. He will be missed by all.

Bev & family,
We were very sad to hear of the passing of Jack.
Whenever we had the pleasure of visiting with him, we always came away thinking of the way he inspired people and how he held very strong views of the things that he did not approve of. Joe always enjoyed his visits with Jack.
He will be sorely missed by your family as well as the community and the people whose lives he touched.
We are thinking of you and praying for you at this very difficult time.
Love
Joe & Evelyn

Dear Bev, Jim, Catherine, Mary, Jacqueline, and family:
I still can't believe that Jack is gone from us, never mind that it has been almost one year.
What an amazing man he was. Always there whenever someone was in need. The only trouble with that was it made his secretary burn rubber on the keyboard and cause permanent hearing impairment while fielding the many daily phone calls. I love that he insisted on calling me "Rosemarie". I guess the French version of my name sounds cooler.
As you come to this anniversary date, may you hug one another lots, cry a little, and hold tight to him in your hearts, for he sure was a keeper!!
Love, Rosemar(ie)
