Duncan, John D. "Jack" Jack passed away peacefully in hospital in Perth on Thursday, January 15th, 2015 in his 90th year with his beloved wife of 65 years, Julia by his side. He was the cherished father to Janice (Tom) Wood, Judith (Tony) Steer, James (Anne) Duncan, John (Kim) Duncan, Julie (Darryl) Evoy and grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was the loved brother to Bill (Rita) Duncan, Miriam (late Hudson) Sargeant, George (Ruth) Duncan and brother-in-law to Clarice Duncan. Jack will be sadly missed by the Paul family, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Lindsay and Annette (Lajeunesse) Duncan, brother Herel Duncan and his precious great grandson Asher Duncan. Jack was a retired farmer, teacher and chartered accountant. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St., West, Perth on Sunday, January 18th, 2015 from noon until 4:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 10:00 A.M. Interment Crawford Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Lanark Animal Welfare Society would be appreciated.
