Irma and family. I wish to express my Condolences on John's death. I attended PDCI in the mid-late 70's so I used to see Mr Aikman in the halls etc. Fortunately never in his office. Then I came to know him at the Dr.'s office. It was always a pleasure to see him. May he never be far from mind and always close in heart. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Irma and Family,
Please accept our sincerest condolences for the loss of your dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. John, or Mr. Aikman to us, had a tremendous impact on our lives. Not only was he an effective administrator, he was a good friend, a good person. He always spoke proudly of his family and we imagine was overjoyed having so many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves a proud legacy, one that can help you heal and move forward gracefully.

Dale & Ellen Burnel posted a condolence
Dear Irma and family, we are saddened to hear of John's passing. He was a man who we both very much liked and admired! As a colleague and boss, he was both professional and caring. Dale looks back on his time working with John during the establishment of the Alternate Schools as the highlight of his career. John's support was unconditional. In looking back to John's retirement gala we are so pleased that he had such a long and happy time with his family and his hobbies.
May the family take some solace in the knowledge that John was so highly
regarded by so many.
Unfortunately we cannot be with you at the visitation or funeral as we are out of the country, but our thoughts will be with you.
Love,
Dale and Ellen

Dear Irma,
I just learned of John's passing now when I went online to get your phone number, as I am missing my old friends at Rideau Lakes. I am so sorry that John is no longer with us. He was a wonderful human being, who made an outstanding contribution to CPS.
Last year was a sad year for me too, as my mother passed on in February, followed by my younger brother Gary (from leukemia) in August.
You have my deepest sympathy for your loss.
