Thanks Mom! For Everything!!!

Our Mom passed away on Monday, November 30th, while Jim and I were visiting.

It was the worst day of my life...I had lost my mother and a true friend...
I'd like to share my appreciation for her life because without her there would have been no me!

Thanks Mom!

Thanks Mom for instilling a love for reading, research, critical thinking and learning. She told me when I was quite young "you don't have to know everything, but you do have to know how to look everything up!" She apparently taught me how to Google - 50 years before there even was a Google!
Thanks Mom for giving me an open mind, honesty, and a great sense of humour!
She used to tell us "if you don't do your English homework you will never get jokes!

Thanks Mom for making us all those wonderful crazy clothes back in the 60's and 70's. I know I was a pain because I always wanted the most complicated patterns but you persevered and made beautiful work. I wish I had appreciated them more at the time. The Carnaby Street dresses you made for Janice and I were my favourites!

Thanks Mom for letting me be there with you yesterday. I know you worked hard to maintain your independence. Now that the initial shock is beginning to clear I have a new appreciation for being here to help you on the final journey of your life.

Thanks Mom! We miss you!
XOXOXOX
