I met Carol through work at DFO. Though we only talked face to face a few times, we talked on the telephone (about work) frequently for a few years. Carol was frequently a very reasonable, helpful, and friendly "bright light" in my work day. Through these discussions, we shared personal life events. I particularity recall her stories ofvweekends away from the city, and the family "Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever". We lost contact when she retired. However, last summer we renewed contact, where I leared of her illness. Though it would be difficult, she rmain positive in the emaiks we shared.
I will fondly remember Carol. RIP.
