McGarvey, R. Wayne Wayne passed away in the Great War Memorial Hospital in Perth surrounded by the love of his family on Friday March 18th; 2016 at the age of 71 years. He was the cherished husband for 50 years of Maidi (Killeen) McGarvey, loved and respected father of Carrie (Shawn) Prout and their daughters Mya and Sophie and Chris (Laura) and their children Jake and Ella. He will be sadly missed by his brother Barry (Rosanne), all his family and many good friends. Wayne retired from the Ontario Provincial Police following 29 years of distinguished service and was the owner of Memory Lane Photography. Wayne was also a dedicated member of the Tay-Clyde Shrine Club, the Keystone Kops and the True Britons Masonic Lodge. Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth, Monday March 21st , 2016, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel Tuesday March 22nd at 10:30 A.M, followed by a reception in the Reception Centre. A private, family interment will be held at a later date. In remembrance, contributions to the Shriner’s Childrens Hospital or the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
