Eunice and Family - just learned of Harris' passing from Marlyse. Please accept our deepest condolences for your great loss. Harris will be sadly missed by his family and friends. May your wonderful memories of sixty years of marriage bring you peace and comfort in the coming days. We have lost one of the best; Heaven has gained a wonderful man. Jean and I remember Harris as a loving and a caring person. He always had a ready smile and a generous laugh. He will be missed and we definitely have a tug on our hearts as we think of the happy years we spent together. May the Lord sustain you, Eunice, Margret, Myles, Bruce, Brian and Howard -as you reflect on your deep loss but on Harris's joy in the presence of the Lord. Hi Eunice, Another jewel in His crown! My sympathy is with you and your family. I am reminded of my brief time with you and Harris one summer as a young boy. You let me stay at your home while Harris and I looked after the bees and honey. I have often looked back at that time with so much respect for Harris who was the gentle beekeeper, as gentle and patient with me as he was with the bees. I learned to respect him for his tolerance of my fumbles and his interest in my success! I almost became a beekeeper myself! My other recollection of your family was having Margaret in my SS class and so I also pray for her strength and help at this time of sorrow. I recall how much Margaret's smile reminded me of her Dad.

Dear Aunt Eunice and Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you respectfully pay tribute to Uncle Harris. today. I wish I could be there to give each of you a hug. i will never forget our times at your home Aunt Eunice -you would be whistling in the kitchen getting those yummy pancakes ready and in would come Uncle Harris with a huge smile. He always wanted to show or teach us something-especially about the bees. So for each of you today I will be praying.All of you are cherished. Love Elizabeth

So sorry to hear about the passing of Harris. What a comfort to know he is absent from the body and present with the Lord. I have may happy memories of him not only in Rideau Ferry but also in Ottawa. I remember well when he taught me in Grade 6 while he was training to be a teacher in Mutchmore School on Fifth Avenue. We were praying for him regularly.
