I met Jake while he was attending his high school CO-OP at Lanark Lodge in which he showed great work ethic for a young man. He since has worked with Burchell Glass at Lanark Lodge and still showed pride in his work. The lads and myself at Lanark Lodge will miss Jake. Take care of each other at this difficult time.

I am shocked and saddened by Jake's passing. I knew him in high school (he sat in front of me in many classes) I remember he never had a pen and always borrowed mine, often giving it back chewed up. It's one high school memory I have thought of often. I remember Jake to be kind and funny. I hope you find comfort in this difficult time.

Kind, funny, talented, creative, and humble are but a few of the atributes he shared on this earth. I believe that some of God's angels are sent to this earth to portray by example what true goodness and love of mankind really is . I believe Jake was an angel on earth and I feel honored to have had the opportunity as his aunt to have witnessed his love of family and friends. Although many years have passed since Jake and I shared time together, I thought of him often and always hoped for a life full of happiness and longevity for him.
