A typical arrival - the car

I think most of the family will relate to this: Nanny and Pop (Fred and Helen) show up at your house. Their car is loaded so heavily that it sits low in the back end. They arrive with a great hustle and bustle and passing out of food, trinkets, momentos from their latest trip, and (especially Helen), an endless stream of chatter about their escapades and how this or that would look great in your house.

I remember getting a LOT of kebasa sausages, kapoosta (sp?), and candies/chocolates from these "deliveries". What was always amusing is that the visit was often quite short, and the car somehow stayed packed full, even as they left. I always wondered just how much they'd managed to purchase and fit into that car.

I actually remember driving the big yellow Delta 88 Oldsmobile when I was about 20. It drove like a boat - big, floaty, and you sat in it like a couch. It was great fun, though - probably the largest car I've ever driven.
