Fox, Maurice Franklin "Mort" January 16th, 1935 to July 23rd, 2018 On Monday, July 23rd, 2018, with family by his side, Mort quietly passed away. He was predeceased by his parents Herbert Sr and Elizabeth (Conger) Fox. He was the youngest of his siblings, all of whom have predeceased him: Herb Jr (Eunice) Fox, Peggy (Howard) Reid, Betty (Merrill) Thompson and Phyllis (Clifford) Cowdy. He leaves behind his wife and loving companion of 64 years, Marion (Drew) Fox. Mort was the beloved father of Cathy (Pat) MacDonald, Cindy, Karen and Kelly and was predeceased by his son Gary (Linda) in 2008. He will be terribly missed by all his grandchildren: Matt and Meghan MacDonald; Kaitlyn McCullough; April (Thomas Inwood) Fox and Nick Fox; Heather Kellar; Will Elliott; Colleen and Emily Fox. Mort was a well known and respected brick layer and cement mason in the Perth area. He was a hard worker and helped many of his family and friends build their homes. Much of his work can still be seen all over Perth. Mort had a great sense of humour and cherished his time spent with family and friends, whom he loved dearly. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at the Perth hospital and many others who were so supportive over the last many years. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Friday, July 27th, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:30 P.M. in the Chapel, followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Reception Centre. In remembrance of Mort, contributions to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Lung Association of Canada would be appreciated.
