Well Bill, what great times we shared at the cottage and Disney World. Yes, there are some cute and funny stories about you and taking groceries out of another ladies shopping cart and giving Karen heck for putting them in there. Then, walking around Disney and reached back to take Karen's hand, only to find yourself holding some strange man's hand. Working on the cement work here with Dad, Tom, Neil Webster, Mike Hobbs and the nicknames you gave each other. Luigi, Tony, Pedro, Drako. Oh, the laughs and memories. You will never be forgotten and always loved. Yes, even the funny stories that our Ted, Dan and Tim got to share with you. We were blessed to have you in our lives. Yes, even the odd disagreement was funny - later. Lynsey was probably waiting right there for you with all of the family and friends in Heaven. Yes, I do think you are in Heaven. You have been prayed there - so enjoy. Love, your sister for many years. Charlene, Ted-Hailey & Sydney, Dan, Sue and Teegan. Until we meet again. Hug our precious ones for us. (Tom &Tim)

I always liked Bill and got along great with Bill when we worked together at Butterfield in Smiths falls, and Bill was the one who I trained with when I first started there in 1984. My condolence to the family and my thoughts are with you.

Dear a Karen & Ryan
Our heart goes out to you in the passing of Bill. He was a kind and gentle man. Always had a great visit with him when we seen him. Karen you have certainly been through a difficult road in your life and may God keep you strong. Life seems to be so unfair at times and we wonder why we are left with such heartache and tears. May you have peace that he is now with your beautiful daughter who will both looking down on you, wrapping their arms around you and giving you the strength you need Our thoughts are with you at once another difficult time. Hugs to you and Ryan, his wife and your precious grandchild.

We were born within a few months of each other and can't remember a childhood Christmas or summer holiday without Bill. Lots of growing up, laughs, adventures. Bill was kind, and thoughtful. He loved to argue lots of subjects but accepted a differing point of view --- eventually.
Karen, Ryan, Meghan, Aubrey - love you and all the rest of the Whitneys and am so grateful for the years Bill was in our lives.

Karen. A lot of years have passed since I had spoken to either you or Bill. Our families and careers took us in different directions. The years we spent together at the lake with his mom and dad will never be forgotten. Both Bill and Tom were like brothers to me. Isabell and Ted always treated me like a son, even if he worked us to the bone LOL. Time passes us all by but our memories are as vivid as if it was yesterday Please accept my heart felt condolences for your lose. I will keep him and your family in my prayers

Dear Karen and family and Charlene and family:
I was saddened to read Bill's obituary on the website.
Tom, Bill and I were cousins and played together, particularly as young children on Beckwith St. I can still see Uncle Ted and Aunt Isabelle, Nana McQuaig and then Aunt Jane would be down to visit occasionally. Unfortunately, time slips by and contact is not always maintained.
Although I am not able to go down for tomorrow, please know that my thoughts are with all of you at this time.

I was so very sorry to read the news of Bill's passing. My sincere condolences to all of you. It has been a tough few years for everyone. When I lived in Smiths Falls in the house next the Whitney's, they quickly took me under their wing and I could not have asked for better neighbours that became wonderful friends. They were always ready to lend a helping hand and usually did my snow shovelling as well. I have been blessed just getting to know them. Keep all of your memories close to your heart, and you will always have them near. Hugs to all of you, Alma
