For 22 years, Councillor, Town of Smiths Falls, Warden of Lanark County, Charter Director of Lanark Lodge, Perth, as well as various other Municipal Offices) Passed away peacefully in hospital, Smiths Falls, on Saturday, April 17, 2010, William James Buffam in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Grace Vandermeer for over 47 years. Loved father of Derick (Annette) Buffam of Perth, Anita (Jamie) Stacey of Stroud, and Patricia (Guy) Perrin of Mississauga. Dear grandfather of Jessica, Alex and Jacob Buffam, Evan and Haydyn Stacey and Carolyne Perrin. Brother of Warner (Judi) Buffam of Belleville. Bill will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, the Vandermeer family and his many friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, on Monday, April 19, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Smiths Falls, on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery.
